The future of Social Web 2.0 – localization

without comments

The web 2.0 has come a long way since Friendster days in 2004. We have seen the birth of Meebo, Digg, Reddit, Squidoo and Twitter and fall of hundreds of such sites which were in reality just features instead of stand alone products. Now the question comes, from where will the next way of Great Web 2.0 come from?

People have already started talking about web 3.0 (mobiles+mashups) and localization.

Localization is certainly going to be a huge part as we can not have a global product. Facebook is not likely to dominate on every nation, as each culture has its culture and way of interaction. Sites like QQ (China) and Ekikrat (India) are trying to lead the path of local social web 2.0. Let’s see how far they can go.
